RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as Trainer for machines/processes.
  • Set up and operate various types of machinery.
  • Perform various type set-up functions including but not limited to dies, feed adjustments, etc.
  • Make adjustments as required to ensure quality piece is produced.
  • Check all safety features (guards, lights, pullbacks, etc.) to insure they are working properly.
  • Set up fixtures for feeding, loading/unloading devices.
  • Run piece part and check for accurate set-up.
  • Produce a quality part.
  • Ability to make adjustments to various machines.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all phases of machinery that are performed on and should be able to run majority of machines within the area.
  • Requires additional training, technical knowledge, and mechanical aptitude
  • Maintain accurate piece counts.  Must be able to keep accurate records, time card, set-up card, good housekeeping, etc.
  • Must perform preventative maintenance on equipment,
  • All employees will abide by the plant’s safety policy, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established, work toward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with the ISO 14001 standard.  An employee should report, and if necessary stop, any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself.
  • May be given certain authority within job scope by Supervisor or Manager
  • Each employee has the authority to initiate action to prevent a violation of the Federal-Mogul Integrity Policy.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Must be able to pass a Basic Skills Test. Certificate or 9 months’ minimum of operator experience

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

Ability to set up and operate various types of machines/presses, etc.  Normal dexterity required.  Previous set-up experience or training required.
