We are looking for a Plant Manager for our facility in Athens, AL. This role plays a critical part in the success of the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for maintaining an efficient manufacturing facility supplying quality parts to meet customer requirements through the coordination of all Manufacturing and support activities.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of an industrial organization to obtain efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits.
  • Plans and develops organization policies and goals and implements these through subordinate personnel.
  • Provides overall direction to subordinates in regard to goals, policies, profitability, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinates the activity of the various department functions.
  • Analyzes the results to ensure profitability to the operation to plan (budget).
  • Coordinates the promotion of product to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry.
  • Maintains efficient, motivated staff.
  • Recommends capital expenditures.
  • May give certain authority to assigned staff within their job scope to perform duties, make decisions, and use independent judgments.
  • Each employee has the authority to initiate action to prevent a violation of the Federal-Mogul Integrity Policy.
  • All employees will abide by the plant’s safety policy, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established, work toward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with the ISO 14001 standard.  An employee should report, and if necessary stop, any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself.
  • Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor.

 

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in related field required.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • 5 or more years experience in a plant or general manager role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have working knowledge of lean production systems.
  • Previous supervision experience is mandatory.
