RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General Function is to maintain and improve the accounting system, which supports business and corporate requirements. 
  • Posting, summarizing, reconciling, auditing, ledger maintenance, statement and/or report preparation, account analysis, and cost analysis.
  • Coordinate and prepare financial information as necessary for monthly closing cycles and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including journal entries, monthly accruals, related reports, and account reconciliations.
  • 2-3 years manufacturing experience. Automotive industry manufacturing experience would be preferable.
  • Experience with SOX testing & compliance
  • Fixed Asset tracking & financial maintenance
  • Capital Appropriation tracking and project support
  • Project tracking and analysis
  • System update of customer pricing to ensure appropriate customer invoicing.
  • Inventory management, including physical inventory support.
  • Plant & corporate reporting – monthly, quarterly, semiannual, annual.
  • Extracts & format relevant information to support the information needs of the facility.
  • Prepare GAAP Compliant transactions for all areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain and improve accounting internal control.
  • Provide support and assistance with audits, tax returns, forecasts & budgets, and financial reporting.
  • Establish/maintain general accounting policies/procedures.
  • Ad hoc financial activities as directed.
  • May be given certain authority within job scope by Manager

  • This is not an exhaustive list as there are always ad hoc activities which require finance support and will be directed by the plant controller, as needed.

 

EDUCATION:

 

Bachelor’s degree in related field of study from accredited institution or comparable experience (2 to 3 years of experience in a similar function).

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Experience with the use of computers including the Microsoft suite mandatory. Must have working knowledge of accounting & budgeting principles and forecasting techniques. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues and documents. Knowledge of Plex, MFG Pro, Trans4M, Hyperion/One Stream highly desired. Working knowledge of manufacturing operations desired.
