RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
- Responsible for the overall plant Planning/Scheduling function.
- Directs inventory/production planning and control activities.
- Responsibilities may include inventory planning, scheduling, materials handling, inventory turnover, customer service levels, stocking decisions, forecasting and administrative controls.
- Improve scheduling tools and processes through application of new projects and ideas.
- Will be responsible for MRP within an ERP system.
- Analyze and properly plan production activities in response to customer demand and level load plan.
- Analyze inventory levels and product demand to determine replenishment levels to ensure no material shortages.
- Review the production schedules and determine proper levels for finished goods inventories.
- Review and update production schedules and material requirements.
- Proactively review material supply and demand to determine appropriate acitons for operations and purchasing.
- Train and supervise the work of Value Stream Schedulers either directly or indirectly in the daily use of MRP.
- Calulate/Recalculate Kanban loops for purchased and manufactured materials.
- Establish correct inventory targets for raw, WIP and finished goods inventories.
- Responsible for analyzing and directing inventory reduction programs across multiple Value Streams.
- Follow up on Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) as applicable
- Act as a key member of the new ERP implementation team
- May be given certain limited authority within job scope by Manager.
- Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor.

EDUCATION:
|
Bachelors degree or equivalent years experience.
|

EXPERIENCE:
|
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Experience with the use of computers including the Microsoft suite mandatory. Requires knowledge of QAD ERP system. Good clerical skills and communication skills a must.
