RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Loads, unloads, and moves material within or near the plant. Loads and unloads trucks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Read work orders and follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. · Loads and unloads materials onto pallets, trays, tubs, and/or racks by hand or by fork truck. · Loads material into vehicles as required. · Conveys material from storage to designated work areas by hand or by fork truck. · Counts, weighs, and records number of units of material moved or handled. · Attaches identifying tags or labels to material or marks information on boxes, pallets, or other containers as required. · May be required to stack or assemble material onto pallets or other containers. · May be required to use overhead crane or hoist to move material. · Move scrap and off-fall from machines. · Organize any work area storage. · Keep aisle clean and orderly. |
EDUCATION: |
High school diploma or G.E.D. and at least 6 months experience

EXPERIENCE: |
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above and below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to operate various types of machines/presses, etc. Normal dexterity required. Must be able to run the equipment in a safe manner and meet the physical requirements of the position and work safely in a manufacturing environment with moving equipment like conveyor belts, presses, fork trucks and overhead cranes. May be exposed to potential lost-time accidents as related to factory/manufacturing environment.
