Supplier Development Engineer

Main Responsibility:
 

• Work in global and local team environment as a key resource for the purchasing team to develop new supply sources to promote excellent quality of components, improve cost competitiveness and be coordinated between the company and the supplier. 
• Responsibilities will include cross-functional program management to qualify new components, supporting issues with beginning delivery phase of supplier production to ensure stable quality control from supplier, developing new suppliers to reduce defective component, reduce cost, increase capacity, auditing suppliers to ensure process conformance with Ohlins's standard and improve supplier performance in long term.

Duty and Responsibility:
 

• Interface with Purchasing team to prioritize supplier development needs by component to improve quality, cost competitiveness and supply constraints.

• Execute validation test on new materials and coordinate with global team for materials validation.

• Assess new and existing supplier capabilities to meet product, cost, quality, capacity and fulfillment ensuring suppliers are able to meet requirements for performance, quality, cost and delivery components and requirements for ISO9001 or IATF16949 and other applicable customer and internal system and reputation requirements.

• Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements.

• Issue PPAP documents, test reports and others required reports.

• Any reasonable project or request by superior or the company as required.
